A lot of couples have destination weddings and can’t bring their dog with them. We get asked a lot on how they can still include them without them being there. We’ve come up with a few ideas to help incorporate your them without them attending.
INCLUDE YOUR DOG IN YOUR ENGAGEMENT PICTURES
Bring your dog along for your engagement shoot to get a few pictures with them. You can use those pictures for your Save-The-Dates or display them at your wedding. We of course always recommend that you hire professional help like us. Not all your pictures will include your fur baby and you don’t want your photographer holding a camera in one hand and a leash in the other. As professional pet handlers, we ensure they are safe and off having fun while your finish your session.

SIGNATURE DRINKS, NAPKINS, OR TREAT TABLE
At most weddings, you’ll find that the couple has made a signature drink (usually their favorite cocktail!). Some couples name their signature drink after their pets or include a little picture of them next to the ingredients on the bar.
Another fun way to include your dog is to get custom made napkins with your dog’s face on it. Have them displayed at the bar or passed out during cocktail hour!
And one of our favorite ideas is to have a dessert table of all your dogs favorite treats. Give your guests a “doggy bag” to fill up to take home to their fur babies!
DONATE TO LOCAL SHELTER
If you have a rescue dog, think about giving a donation to the shelter or rescue you got your dog from in lieu of favors. Don’t have a rescue dog but love the idea of donating? There are many local non-profit rescues who would love your help! Here are a few of our favorites:
